Meet the Dentists: Dr. Sonia Sharma and Dr. Iman Nazaran

Dr. Sonia Sharma

Dr. Sonia Sharma graduated from Maharishi Dayanand University’s School of Dental Sciences in Yamuna Nagar, India in 1994. She also completed her Bachelor of Sciences (B. Sc.) from Punjab University, topping the University and receiving the coveted University Merit Gold Medal. Prior to moving to Canada, Dr. Sonia Sharma briefly worked as an Intern dentist at the University Hospital.

From 1995 to 1998, following a series of reciprocity and equivalency examinations held at University of Toronto Dental School by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada, Dr. Sharma was granted the required licensure to practice dentistry in Canada and was admitted to membership of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

Dr. Sonia Sharma has been in private practice since 1999. A highly experienced and caring dentist, Dr. Sonia Sharma practices a simple, conservative, optimal and ethical approach to dentistry, and strongly believes in the power of prevention and early intervention to help save her patients from extensive and costly work.

Dr. Iman Nazaran

Dr. Iman Nazaran , or "Dr. Iman” to his patients, completed his studies from the School of Dentistry, Tehran University in the year 2000. Following his graduation, Dr. Iman served as an "Honorary-Dentist' in public health clinics for children and adults for roughly four years. In 2004, he opened his first private dental office, and also took additional courses to advance his skills in Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry.

In the year 2010, Dr. Iman moved to Toronto, Canada with his young family, where he attained the requisite qualifications and certifications such as National Dental Board Exam of Canada (NDEB) and was invited to the membership of The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Ontario Dental Association, Iranian Ontario Dental association and Canadian Dental Association.

A highly skilled and compassionate dentist, Dr. Iman strongly believes in providing his patients with essential, cost-effective and quality preventative dentistry.
